Waves

The ocean and in particular waves breaking has fascinated me as long as I can remember.

I used to sit as a child on the granite boulders of Cape Town staring out at the Atlantic as it pounded the coastline.

Later as a surfer I got to know the joys of harnessing the power of the ocean as I sped across the steep faces of waves just like these.

So there I stood on the Southern most point of Feurteventura, enjoying the experience and longing for my surfboard. I shot gigabytes of images to add to the photographic diary of my life.

Lovely images generated by that story Paul. I had the coast to grow up with. Unfortunately the NE UK coast with fat drunk people jumping in on boxing day and freezing off their proverbials. I'll not post a photo of that thought ;O)

Curiosity

 Photography is more than just capturing moments; it's about telling stories, evoking emotions, and portraying the world through the lens's perspective. Why do you take photographs?

Have you ever asked yourself why you photograph? It's a question that can be answered with a simple one-sentence answer until you start delving deeper.
